As previously posted, my 565EX has expired after very light use - only about 200 flashes. I bought this flash in January, and, clearly I've used it very little. I was asked to take pictures at an outdoor event that my company was sponsoring. It was all under tents, so a flash was needed. Flash performed well, and failed at the very end of the event. I was very happy with the pictures. I contacted Amazon, and they set up a claim with the seller - A&R photo. The seller replies, telling me to contact the manufacturer. Not their problem. I contact Yungnuo, and they tell me to contact the seller and Amazon......
I relay this to Amazon, and they again contact seller. Seller won't budge, and manufacturer (in China) says I have to go through the seller. Amazon is as frustrated as I am.
This morning I receive an email from Amazon. They understand the situation, and, to make things right, they will credit my account to cover cost and shipping of the flash. $124.00!
I am beyond pleased with the way Amazon handled this. Kudos to them for stepping up to the plate to make things right.
However, now I don't have a good feeling about Yungnuo or A&R photo. So this morning I used the account credit to order a new SB700.
Problem solved!
