I've got the Yongnuo 560iii. It's a great flash, especially for the money. But how the HELL do you turn that annoying red flashing light on the front off when in slave mode?!!!

My YN565EX is the same way. There is a Function menu to disable the AF assist on the hot shoe, but does nothing for the slave modes.

A piece of tape over the tiny front LED will do a lot. Maybe use the professional black tape? :)

If you're a *REAL* photographer you use "Gaffers Tape" for things like this. If you're a Professional Photographer, you also eat it for breakfast. If you don't know the difference between the two, you're not using enough Gaffers Tape.

If it is not black, then it is not the professional version. :)

A long time ago, I bought some kids bracelets at Walmart, 3 for $1. These are sort of a hard rubber like band, with words like Punk or Rock embossed into them. But they are just the right size to fit a speedlight head, to hold a small bounce card, and slightly stretchy. They were all colors, but I bought the black professional model.
