Feedback wanted on Phottix Mitros flash

I want to buy the Phottix Mitros TTL Flash for Nikon DSLR's.

I can't decide whether to buy the base model for $299 or spend the extra $100 for the model with the radio slave built in.

Looking for an experienced feedback on this. Money is an issue.

I'm a former working pro forced to retire over health issues. I saved and bought a D7000 2 years ago but I don't have a TTL Flash.

I'm just wondering if I'll be sorry down the road if I don't buy the Radio unit. I would still need to buy a radio transmitter later in order to have full remote TTL.

They have a special now for the flash with Radio TTL and a transmitter for $530. But that's really pushing the envelope.

Thanks, Dave

Re: Feedback wanted on Phottix Mitros flash purchase

I am not familiar with the Phottix brand, had to google it to check it out. While I didn't read all about it, I think the Yongnuo would be a match for it at a lower price.
I have the Yongnuo 568EX, which I bought for less than $200. There a quite a few others on here with the same flash, I haven't heard of anyone who is unhappy with it yet.

Check it out here - Amazon.com: Yongnuo YN-568EX II, YN568EX II Flash, High speed, Ultra powerful GN master control, Off camera speedlite for Canon: Camera & Photo

Edit- just realised I linked the Canon model

Ok, sorry. Being new I wasn't sure where to put it. Because I didn't see a flash specific area. Also after I posted the 2nd one, I tried to delete the first, but couldn't figure out how.
