It is pretty sweet! Now I just have to learn how to use it :)

I'm kind of wishing the D5000 had CLS (wireless flash) control.

Can't wait to hear your review on it. Two people read reviews and commented on this board that it's little weak, don't know how true that is or compared to what other model. If I recall right I thought SB600 was the one it was being compared to again not sure. I'm curious what your take is on it. At this point either one would be better than the on board flash, but I like what I see on the SB700.

If the D5000 doesn't have "commander mode" for wireless flash control, you can get the SU-800 commander. My D2X doesn't have a pop-up flash so I use this when I want to operate several speedlights wirelessly off-camera.

Let us know how it performs, I have a SB-800 and a SB-600.
I am interested in know how you like it.

I have the 700 and 600, and like them both. I started off using the 600 off camera with a copy of an SC-28. I like that but wanted more light, so I bought the 700. My 3100 doesnt have the commander, so I can use the 700 as commander, either on camera or off with the SC-28. I think I may get a 25 foot cord to go with my 10 footer, and a couple of umbrella and stands instead of the SU-800.
