Text editor extremely slow and difficult to use -- why?

I have given up trying to post messages on Nikonites because the text editor is so ridiculously clumsy and unresponsive. It misses letters all the time.

Is something on your computer hogging all the resources?

I saw this problem when using my Surface tablet, but do not have the problem when using any other device. Have you tried using a different browser other than Internet Explorer?

No problem with me.

Chrome on a laptop--no issues here. Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties. As mentioned above, have you switched browsers?

It may be the gravity or squirrels on the phone line here....however, I had to switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox to get the DadBlasted Cottonpicking Communist thing to work for me. Your mileage may vary, however.

I gave up on Internet Explorer many years ago. Went to Firefox and loved it UNTIL about 2 years ago when they went bonkers so I moved to chrome. I have been real happy with them after getting used to a couple of things they do different like the search feature but I even like that better.

This was not because of this site but all sites.

Internet Explorer does it to me as well. Chrome or Firefox work fine.

I does the same to me, so your not on your own. If I use my mobile phone or tablet it works fine.
You don't say which browser your using, I use internet explorer, and the computer is all up to date (just rebuild it a few weeks ago)

If you look in the top corner of the message box, you will see A/A

Click that and you switch to source mode, which works for me.

Text editor works fine for me, however uploading pictures can be a problem sometimes. These pop-up windows are sluggish and can completely freeze the entire browser window from time to time.I use Safari on a Mac.PS: OK, something is wrong now. I cannot add empty lines in the text. Whatever I do, it re-edits the text and puts it in one paragraph.

This text should be in three paragraphs.

Unfortunately IE11 has issues with the editor that we use. I would recommend switching to the basic text editor in your user settings.

I just tried updating the editor to a newer version. Give it a go now...
