My First Wedding Photoshoot

Hi all please help im doing my first wedding photoshoot this saturday and im stressing. Plus point is that its going to be small but def need some tips. Im going to be using my d3100 and both the 18 mm and 70 mm lenses.. Please help

I guess the first thing, is whether the function is indoors, or outside? If its indoors, how is the light in there... If its a church, are you allowed to use flash? Do you have a flash? Maybe go to the venue beforehand (Not an hour before - I mean days before) and have a look around, maybe take someone with you as a dummy-bride and get a few test shots at the time of day you are expecting to shoot.

I agree with Steve....do your homework first and then you won't be surprised. I'd check out a book at the library for poses, as the couple will want different poses along the way.

What Steve said... plus: Be aware of where the bride is at EVERY MOMENT!!! Brides love pictures of the bride! ;) GROOMS love pictures of the bride, too! And take extra SD cards. Shoot a lot!

Other than that, good luck! I 2nd shot at a wedding with nothing but the D3100 and my 50mm 1.8G and got some great shots, but the lighting was fairly strong throughout. If you've got a solid knowledge of the basics, you should do fine.
