I haven't looked at that tab in months, but did today and noticed this from yesterday:

04:30 PM wev has lost -38 Total points for misc points

Was I a bad boy somehow? Don't care about the points (never figured out what they were for anyway), but I'm in trouble so often, its nice to know what for to keep things straight.

Perhaps you were caught stuffing too many hummingbird carcasses. :p But seriously, if you find out what those points are for, you could pass the information on. You are not the only one to not figure them out.

A long time ago you could use points for things. That's how I got my purple name.

Don't know why you get negative points sometimes.

Still makes no sense and some things seem to be getting lost -- awards for winning comps? And what is "All Points for User" in the Ranking tab?

I really wasn't trying to quibble the points (I had assumed we were like the tv show, Whose Line Is It Anyway, where the points don't count), just wondering about the minus-ing of them and if I had been naughty or, worse, boring.

This is probably because I ran a maintenance task that cleared orphaned gallery images. Nothing was removed that shouldn't have been, but it looks like it recalculated your points.

What are "orphaned gallery images"? Duplicates that were created by the Page Not Found issue that is still ongoing? I haven't purposely reloaded or deleted anything from my gallery.


And I assume that "Nothing was removed that should have been" is just a typo and not a comment on my images. . . (I'd add a smiley here, if I approved of them)

Basically something went wrong when uploading them. They were in limbo.

Yes, that was a typo.
