Holding ctrl and using the mouse wheel does the same thing, so I suspect that laptops with a touchpad can be vulnerable to accidental font changes. Happened to me once or thrice.

What I don't understand is why it only happened with Nikonites? The other websites I peruse worked fine. Anyone want to venture a guess?

I also think there is a basic fault in Windows 8, though it occurs less often in Windows 8.1. Never, ever open a Windows app unless you know how to shut it down. If an app is open then you need to move the cursor to the top left-hand corner to get back to the desk-top but it will keep changing back unless you right click to shut down the app.

It may have happened when you left the site and your browser has stored the settings. I have the same problem with some sites I visit, though generally they are in zoom mode. If you have no luck in changing the settings, eliminate the site from your favourites, log-on and save it again.

Some browsers keep the settings for each individual window, especially if you set it at "always on". In your case some how the font size was reduced - most probably as stated in previous posts by rotating the mouse scroll button while it was hovering on the text size icon.

Checked it with Firefox. It remembers the font for each window. I had set one window "Large" and the other "Tiny". Closed Firefox, started it and accessed the two sites. The font was what I had set.

I am using a laptop, hence no scrolling mouse button. I wasn't hovering on the text size icon.
