The NEW POSTS section on the right has got went too...
I still have the open/collapse button for that and it works for me

Here's the issue...
When the New Posts were on the side-bar... If you clicked on one, it took you straight to that post in the thread...
If you click on a Recent Post at the top... it takes you to the first post in that thread... Not a problem in a thread with one or two posts... a real PITA if there's 50 posts in that thread... then you have to navigate to the end of the thread for 5 minutes...
