at some posting there is a like button, example in mikew's postings.
I'm not too fond of the list with the most recent liked/thanks posts off to the right. I'd rather see the most recent posts and new threads indicator moved back up where they were before as that is more important to me. But this is just my own opinion.

I don't care for it either. I'd rather see the most recent threads/posts first. That pane is likely to be populated with picture threads. Nothing against the pictures, I enjoy them greatly and I will seek them out on my own as time permits. But for my quick sit down breaks, I'd like to see recent Threads and posts up top, regardless of popularity.
I'd like to LIKE this, but you are missing the button.

Just tossing this in as a little more info to maybe figure things out. In the thread below, there are no like buttons on any users posts, some have sigs and some don't, some are contributors and some not.

The buttons show up for me with the exception of Browncoat and BobB.
I just realized that the like button goes away when you like a post. I had liked the posts, except for Browncoats and BobBs, which is probably when the button went away. And those two do not have sigs.

Try adding a signature. I think it worked for me, I've gotten a couple of likes since I added mine.
er, no. I realize there are times when it's accidentally clicked and I hope this is something I can add back in the future. There is a dislike button that isn't enabled, but it functions separately from the like button. I don't have it enabled because I don't feel like we need a 'negative' feature.
The universe must be balanced. Everything has an opposite, like a ying yang thing.
Do you want to be responsible for throwing the universe out of sync, or maybe even causing a temporal time displacement anomaly?

I thought not.
We had a negative feed back button on the first forum i was a mod on,this caused us quiet a headache on occasion, its quiet natural to get personality clashes and the negative button can get used for the wrong reason,so i think you are right with that decision
