Forum Scripts

Finally. I caught the stupid script that keeps slowing me down here and sometimes locks me up. This thing takes forever sometime to finish loading.

Today it caused this error message.

What browser are you using? This has to do with the shout box, which constantly checks for updates.

I use Firefox but I don't get a lot of those errors usually.

Can I turn the Shout Box off completely? Also, the Top ten Stats. I would like to make that disappear as well. Can I do those kinds of choices/options in settings somewhere?

Unfortunately not at the current time. Is it the latest version of FF? Have you tried clearing your cache recently? How much memory does your computer have?

Version 28 of Firefox Beta. Been on Beta for a few years now and found it better than the regular Firefox.

I clear cache and temp files every day, often more than once per day. Memory, that could be an issue but it doesn't show everywhere. I only have 1 gig memory and that is all this computer will take.

This site and eBay are the two pages/sites I have the most issue with. Always a bunch of crap that is downloading in the background like this googleapis stuff, eBay static something or other, google.ads.doubleclick. net . . . stuff like that I always sit here and stare at the browser telling me it is connecting to something or is downloading something.

My guess is something is either blocking those scripts from running out you are physically running out of memory. See if similar things happen in chrome. I bet they don't. I switched to chrome a while ago because Firefox couldn't handle the 50+ Windows I open. (Requires memory & management)
