Posting Images - Not all the same size inside the post

I am seeing that when I post more than one image inside a thread, even though they are cropped and sized exactly the same size, they will not be displayed the same size within the post. One is always smaller than the other, the first image is usually the largest.

What is up with that??

give us a link where this happened

Also what size are you resizing to when you post?

I crop all of my photos, for posting here, to 1000px wide and at 96ppi resolution.

That is the problem. should be 1000px on the long side. What ever side is the longest. If you look at the size as posted you will see that they are both 1024px tall since they are both in portrait orientation. I would bet that they are not originally the same size after you cropped them in post. The maximum size that it is going to allow is 1024. Anything larger and it is going to resize them.

Just make sure that you resize them to 1000px on the longest side and you will be better off.

Ahhh! I did not realize this

No. Doesn't give me size. Just gives me a small pop up balloon window with image name, file size, views and image ID. No dimensions.

Sorry, I used the EXIF viewer

Where the heck is an EXIF viewer? I view EXIF by the Properties link by right clicking my image on my computer. Is there a faster way?

I find the best display on this website is when I post horizontally using the 1000 pixels on the long side. If I change the portions to an 8x10 laid horizontally, or am displaying a portrait I set the vertical to 700 pixels.
