This is tempting to jump on the bandwagon for this, but I have a question for you who are/have subscribed. When the subscription is up, can you still use the software that you downloaded with the subscription and just not get updates or do you lose the use of the software?

You won't be able to edit. You can still view and print. And if you already own LR 5.7, the new edits you create in CC would be in a 6.x catalog, so it would not be compatible with your old 5.7 catalog if you went back to that. Your originals would of course still be available to re-edit in LR 5.7. Or you could keep the crippled CC version 6.? around to open your edits. 5.7 owners should back up their catalogs because they will need to get converted to 6.x catalog.

Also, everyone should be sure to note this offer is for a 12 month commitment with a 50% termination fee. So you cant just try it for a few months and quit without penalty. Good deal though. I have seen similar offers pop up recently. One appeared on facebook and another a few weeks ago in a photography email I get. So if this offer passes you by, keep your eyes open.
