Re: Help!!

How long have you had it, is it still under warranty, and was it dropped recently? What about the battery.........is it fully charged? Just some things to consider.

Raven, could you please fill in more of your profile, please; camera, lenses, etc. It really helps us with problems like this. Also, where the heck do you live?? :)

Re: Help!!

Also try doing a default reset. With the camera turned on push the EV and AF buttons, also marked with green dots, for at least two seconds. (Page 75 of the users manual). The screen should go blank briefly. The custom settings are not affected by this action. Go to the Custom Settings menu in the monitor. (page 171 of the users manual). Right at the top is the reset program. Click on it to go to the yes/no screen. Set to yes and click OK. These actions will reset everything to the factory default settings. If neither what has been recommended above or the reset has cured the problem then it should probably be looked at by an authorized Nikon repair service. And yes please complete your profile with the requested information. Makes it easier to answer your questions.
