I'm still thinking about picking up a D810 on eBay. I saw there was a service advisory on the D810 regarding bright spots at long shutter speeds. After service does it eliminate the problem all together.

It was a problem that about only is relevant to astrophotography. All new units should be fixed.

If you go to Nikon's firmware update section they have an update to fix the bright spots if you have one of the faulty cameras
