Well, It looks like I've solved my immediate financial issues and will be re-acquiring a D810. I surely hope I will be able to keep it this time as it was an amazing camera and I really loved it during the short time I had it previously.

Excellent news! As a side note, I noticed every Nikon demo lens was mounted to a D810 today, so I got to work hands on with that monster for a few and wow...

Thanks guys, I really was upset having to give up the D810 and I'm very glad to be getting it back. I'll be using the 70-200 on it to start and I'll post some photos as soon as I have something decent to show.

The beast is Back! I got it yesterday and went out for a test mounted with the 70-200.

Well, It looks I'm going to send back this D810 due to the recall in which the serial number indeed showed up at Nikon's web site and in a test I did with a long exposure.

I'm glad it sounds like you'll get a quick easy fix! :DThough I know is sucks having to be without it even that long. :(

Thanks guys. I figured that if I can make an easy exchange for a good unit, it beats having to deal with sending it to Nikon later on and waiting a possible 6-8 weeks.
