Q: On D7200's video capabilities

I'm thinking of buying the D7200. I've watch "video tests" on youtube showing that the D7200 has trouble keeping focus on movie subjects. It tends to hunt. lose focus. But again, I've watch "short films" where the D7200 was used and all is good. So question, what is your experience with video ? are users doing the "video tests" just not using correct settings ? your thoughts, thanks.

I'm pretty sure most good video is NOT shot using auto-focus... but rather, focus transitions/changes are pre-planned and manually pulled...

For what it's worth, the D7200 would not be my first choice if shooting video was my passion and the central reason for getting a new camera. It might not even be my second choice. But there's no question that the D7200 is a terrific camera for stock photography needs, and it is capable of satisfying some video needs.
