Will this 280mb per second card work in my D7100

Can i ask if there is some other reason you want this card,i used a 94mb in mine and the camera couldnt make full use of it,not seen anything about this card being used though.

The card also has to upload to a computer after the photos are taken. With 1000 to 2000 photos this typically takes more time than I would like.

The speeds advertised with "UHS-II" cards are not possible in a D7100. The camera will work just fine with the card, but it will not support the full advertised speed of the card.

Why is this? Simple. "UHS-II" cards have a second row of pins behind the first which are also used to achieve full "UHS-II" speeds. It's backwards compatible with devices that take "UHS-I" cards (like the D7100) but it will only operate at "UHS-I" speeds over the single row of pins.

Upgrading to the 90MB/s card probably made a difference because "UHS-I" supports those speeds. A "UHS-II" card that advertises 300MB/s will probably also get you around 90MB/s while running at the lower "UHS-I" speeds. So upgrading won't make sense for you, unless you buy a new camera that takes "UHS-II" cards.

The rated speed of cards is not for writing, it's for reading. The card is capable of SENDING information that fast. Who knows how fast it's capable of RECEIVING data.

That said, I have no issues with a 95 mb/s card in my 7100.
