When folks ask me , what do you like about that camera, I respond with---everything! Today I received a TC-301. So I got out the Nikkor 300mm 4.5 edif and plug it in for a whopping 600mm of glass. Wowee! Then I said to myself, See if you can add a TC-16a. Yowser! 960mm of glass!!! Does not work well hand held. 600 was iffy and My hands shake a tad too much. So I'll be going out early in the am over the next few days(with a tripod) to see what I can see.
The answer is because it can do everything except the laundry and make dinner. I am constantly amazed at the capabilities of this fine imaging machine. Yeah, Primal Beast is right.

No pics because it's in the 90's so no going out today but here's a shot. 300mm F/4.5 ed if on a TC-201and a TC-16a all on the incredible D7100. Weight, what weight??? Weight is this on the F4S, now that's weight!! Oh and on the F4 I get auto focus(lolololl) at 960 or the computers get very confused and start that back and forth dance. It's like a 16" Naval cannon It's a Nikkazooka!;)

The focus is a challenge but that's due to vibration or stupid little puffs of wind or a truck goin down the street. But I got this nice one of the Moon. It's with the tc-301 and 1.3 crop factor.
