The answer is prob in the manual somewhere but you guys love a challenge
when you move the focus point in the viewfinder, does the camera still meter exposure from the centre
or does it follow the little red square I use AF S
If you're using "Matrix" metering the entire frame is used to calculate exposure regardless of what focus point you choose. If you're using "Center Weighted" metering the center most portion of the frame is 80% of the total area used in the calculation and does not consider the location of the auto-focus point. If you're using "Spot" metering then the metering calculates exposure using *only* the auto-focus point you have selected. Sort of like "Mobile-Spot" metering.
