Just received '70's Emmylou Harris.
Taking a few test shots. So far I'm impressed.
I'm kind of glad that I started out with the D3100, than the D300 first. This makes me appreciate this camera that much more.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the 300 and the way it felt in my hands. If I could strip out the sensor from this camera and put it in the 300 I would in a heartbeat. LOL

No PP or sharpening. Straight from 14 bit uncompressed to jpeg.

Now, this is what blew me away. 100% crop. Again, no sharpening.

Blacktop- just got mine about a week ago. Has been fun trying to get it all together and figure out what I need to do to get the most out of the camera.
Nice clear photo of our kitten. Cropped.

How many shutter clicks were on it? Did you check? :)

darn.. been meaning to do that yesterday but I just forgot about it with all the excitement. This morning went out to do some yard work before it got really hot, and to take some pics. I will now check.
