When attempting to Import shots from my D7000 I only get a few photos at a time. I have 170 shots and it will import 6-7 shots and stop. I have to start all over again. Helppppppp

Thanks for the response. I was using the Windows Explorer to transfer to "Pictures" folder.

Use the Nikon Transfer Program, such as View NX2, to move pictures from your camera to your computer if you're using a cable. Otherwise, use a good card reader to transfer pictures.

What would be a good card reader. I tried Kodak Multi-reader and it doesn't work on my main computer. It doesn't have a problem on my laptop. Thanks for the response.

You can use any multi reader that has a usb plug and accepts the type of card you use in your camera. I use one made by Vantec (Google the name) and the model # is UGT-CR-920 Hope this helps.

some older card readers will not read sd/hc cards. fact! that is why two or three years ago sandisk supplied a free usb card reader with their extreme sd/hc cards, i know, i had two of them. my desk top would not read the card via built in card slot so i used the adapter. my laptop was ok though.

As Nikon Transfer & View NX2 are free, I can se no reason for using anything else for import. Using USB cable to computer is simpler than extracting card, but cheapest USB SD card reader does the job.

When installing Transfer, take option of 'autostart when camera is connected'. Choose your main and possibly back folders, press start & Transfer opens View and closes itself down when its finished. With massive downloads, you just get on with other computer tasks & it brings View to the front when finished (mac)
