How is the video on the D7000?

Can anyone that already has the D7000 confirm that the video is clear and doesn't have any funky pixels? I've heard reports that some have some defective or noisy pixels.

I just picked mine up on Sunday so I haven't had too much time to play with the video (too busy taking photos!) but I did not notice anything that jumped out as "funky" so far. I can say that the quality of the video appeared to be better then my wife's 3 year old Sony HD-HandyCam which surprized the heck out of me.

Yeh maybe after I get some other things sorted out - I just moved (farther up the main line, actually)

Again, I haven't had too much experience playing with the video functions but the one test video I took of my dogs running around looked great. The auto focus seemed to work as advertised.

The video is really good. I was at an event with an active multiple color laser light show that was majorly changing light and background and the video still focused on the dj's face. Worked great :)

The dead pixel issue came up when I tested it (pix with lens cap left on.) I had one red pixel bottom center on the LV screen but my other pictures have not fallen into the dead pixel issue.

The video quality with the D7000 is excellent. The day after I bought my D7000 (the first day it was in Best Buy), I was shooting video for television with it.

Shooting good video with any DSLR requires extra care, and probably extra gear, but the image quality is great, and the shallow depth of field gives it a cinema look.

Note that audio is a big problem, and most people shooting video seriously with DSLRs record audio to a separate digital audio recorder.
