    The D7000 Is Mine

Well I pushed the button this morning and purchased not only my first prosumer SLR (first was Rebel XT) but my first Nikon!

    Nikon D7000
    18-55 VR
    Lowepro Toploader 50AW
    16gb Sandisk Extreme

Needless to say, I can't wait till Thursday when it arrives.

    Lovely camera - enjoy it.

Out of curiousity, why the 18-55mm? I was under the impression the D7000s came with an 18-105mm as the standard 'kit'

    Re: The D7000 Is Mine

To save money, I got an 18-55 VR used for $70.00. After many reviews, unless you need the extra length, the 18-55 is sharper than the 18-105 near the wider side.

I'll eventually get the 35mm 1.8, 55-300, and tokina 12-24 f4 lenses. I know what I want, but my credit card won't let me get all of it at once, lol.

You made a very wise decision. I got mine on Friday and am really glad I did. Wonderful features, great images, and just plain fun to use. Use it and enjoy it.
