D700 vs D7100

Not to kill the moment but the scores are very close as to be insignificant. They are both fine cameras but in different ways. The price difference between the two however in Australia is still somewhat significant. I bought a D7100 new a few months ago for $900 Australian. I have been on the search for a secondhand D700. Generally a good used D700 is still going to cost more than $1000 Australian whereas a new D700 is quite a bit more. I know this because after much searching I just bought a used D700.

I have a D7100 and two D700's. They are both great cameras, decide what you want to use them for. Neither one of them will let you down.
