Was trying to set camera up to do star photos and when trying to do it I found that dials for ap and exposure where backwards and have noticed other things not where they are supposed to be. I bought the camera used so I guess the old owner moved things to be where he liked them. I was curious if I do the factory reset that I have seen on google will it go back to fresh out of the box or will it keep the latest update that is on it?

The reset will change setting back to their original settings, but will not affect firmware updates that may have been applied.
if it's a simple setting change, and I'd think it's a good idea to do when getting a "new" used camera, it will revert the previous owner's settings changes back to defaults.
