Nikon D5300 eyecup diopter lenses

I didn't have my eyes checked but it's seem that I am around - 1.7 because I feel max setting is one stop to low for my dominant eye.
Unfortunately nikon cheaped on this so so I must find another solution.
What I can see there is diopter lenses for eyecup. Somebody use that?

If you have old glasses, check if they're made out of some plastic. Most are these days. You can cut those and add them in front of the existing glass. There's room in the rubber.

That's what I did, a little bit of work for a perfect view.

If you haven't you can order them (if they're available) but that's a PITA. At least here for me. Half of the stuff I tried to order wasn't available.

How to precise cut a plastic to fit there? Could you take a picture of it?
