    Yes.

There are quite a few people who can tell you that. Probably, anyone else who has a D5200 can tell you. I can tell you how to do it on a D3200, but there's no guarantee that it's the same on a D5200.

You could go to https://support.nikonusa.com/app/ans...ail/a_id/18112 and download a copy of your camera's user manual, if you don't already have it.

All depends on the shooting mode you're in. If shooting in manual mode just roll the sub and main command dials for each and go with the on board meter to zero it out.
If in shutter or aperture priority use the command dial that correspondes to the mode you're in and the camera will adjust itself for proper exposure. If you're trying to change any of those settings while in the never go there green auto mode. You simply won't be able to as the camera will do all of that for you which you can not overide.

See D5200 User Manual page 41 (under Mode M Manual heading). On the D5200, rotate the Command wheel for shutter speed. For aperture, hold down the +/- Exposure Compensation wheel (on top by shutter button) while rotating the Command wheel. Resulting value is shown in top LCD and in the viewfinder.

See other modes too (P, A, S, M). For example, in A mode, you don't have to hold the +/- button.
