    HDR greyed out, why?

My HDR is greyed out when I try to choose it, but I don't know why. I know you can't use HDR in multiple exposure shots or when you've chosen braketing, but even when I don't have those chosen, I still get a grey-out HDR. The "?" says the HDR option is "not available at current settings ... or state"... what settings and/or state is causing that?

I had already tried that and just tried it again...no luck, no change.

You must have JPEG or JPEG/RAW enable. You must also have bracketing turned off.

You must be in JPEG or NEF/JPEG. Also, bracketing must be off.

There is another thread about this where the answers are outlined.

Scrolling down about ten lines i was able to find it.
