    Tamron lens for d5100

    Hi i recenty purchased a d5100 and was now thinking of buying a new lens to go with it. Has anyone purchased one of these TAMRON AF 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di LD Macro NIKON D80 D40 D60 D3100 D5100 D7000 (0725211307037) | eBay and if so are they any good? Iam new to dslr cameras so go easy on me.

    I bought one from Amazon, but for a D3100. I have only used it twice so far, but I am pleased with what I see. The quality of the lens is good, seems well made, and works as it should.

    All I am going to say is I am thinking about buying a D5000 and a Tamron AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) MACRO...

    I have a friend who has a D5100 with that lens on it, great combo in my opinion. She uses it to photograph her son's soccer games.
