Hi everyone!

This is Garz from Spain. I would like to share the first video I record with a Nikon D5100 and the 18-55 kit lens. Images under water have been recorded with a SJ4000 action cam. Thanks for watching and sorry for my English!

Pretty good footage there. :) Good framing.

I would play with color grading a bit more, and would try to stabilize the shots from a tripod on heavy winds. I noticed that you are using some "cheap" tripod, because when refocusing the shot wasn't stable. I know it is frustrating, but it all takes practice, I even have problems with that, and the stronger winds vibration because I own a cheap tripod. :)

cheers

That is awesome for a first video @Garz. After watching it I would like to try shooting Vids too. Few questions-
1. What focal length did you use?
2. Did you use any tripod or some other video gear?
3. What software for PP?
Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your advice Pe11e! You're right, it's a cheap tripod. I tried some expensive tripods but this Hama tripod I used for this video is easier to carry on. It's very light and not too much big. But I think I need a better one if I want to get good shots. This month I'm gonna buy a dsrl steady cam from amazon; a better tripod will be the next.

Thanks again for your comment!

Thank you @akshayeakki !

1. What focal length did you use?

I used the 18-55 kit lens, most of the sea shots are made with a focal lenght close to 50-55 mm, but there are several focal lenghts.

2. Did you use any tripod or some other video gear?

Just a 40€ Hama tripod

3. What software for PP?

I used Sony Vegas Pro 13, Magic Bullets Looks plugin and some native Vegas plugins (levels, saturation adjust, etc.)

Warm greetins to everyone!

Lol, I bought QZSD tripod for 35e, never thought that Hama costs more than 20e. :)
Btw there is no videography without custom firmware. ;-)
