Lens Recomend

I'm taking a trip to Disney in Oct, What would be some good recomendations on a good lens to take pics of the kids and some of the site while there

I'm assuming this is for your D5100?

I'd suggest the Nikon 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 VR. It's a great, multi-purpose, lens.

The 35mm 1.8G is a great lens that I would personally use, but you'll most likely want something with a zoom like Horoscope Fish said. 18-140/200/etc would be perfect to capture all the shots you want at varying distances, especially if they're on a ride. I'd lean toward the longer 200/300 focal lengths because you might want to get a good framed shot on something that may be far away. If it's just for photos on a family trip, any of the 18-xxx lenses would be sufficient.

I took about 350 pictures yesterday, all with the 18-140. I'm pretty pleased with the results. I used it for portrait, landscape, action. All with good results.

I'll pile on with the 18-140mm recommendation. The only reason I haven't picked one up is that I think I've decided to focus on FX glass for my next camera body, otherwise the 18-140mm would be my walk around lens.
