Underwater case!

Hey guys!

I was planning to go to Phuket diving this summer but didn't get around to it because of family issues!
Now thinking of going to Marsa Alam in Egypt, apparently got great photo opportunities.

Does anyone know of/have a underwater case (not a sealed bag) that i can get?

If anyone is in the same boat as me needing a case I would be prepared to share a purchase with someone so it gets more use out of it!

Ikelite is probably the best known maker of underwater housings. They are quite expensive though, starting at $1,400 for the D5100.

Probably cheaper to buy a Nikon waterproof camera than find a water proof case for a D5100

Ya. Cases for DSLR's are more than the camera. I looked when I went on my cruise for a 600 case and it was a few grand. So I went to Costco and bought a 200$ underwater camera. Good enough pictures, lol. Although when we did the swim with the sting-rays, the lady had a 7000 with an underwater camera. But when you sell a CD with 20 pictures on it for 50$ you can afford it. What a rip-off. (We bought it). haha

I use a sealife all in one DC800 , check it out , best pics I have ever seen with out going pro ,

I've seen a lot of people mention issues with this camera and water getting inside.

What else have you discovered about water-proof cases for DSLRs... ???

Whoops, didn't notice the date on the posts. lol

Best to use the Nikon AW series - waterproof, 16MP, HD video and inexpensive. What else do you want.
