Thought i would post my experiences up to now,bought two for £20 to go in my battery pack keeping the original as a back up,as i only have one charger these have been removed one at a time for charging several times (both being charged each time) and have worked no problem.
Last night i removed both batteries at the same time and charged them when i tried to use the D5100 today a message came up saying this was the incorrect battery please swap it and the camera wouldn't work,any way after a few moments panic i took them out and swapped them over and the camera worked ok,perhaps only one battery is correctly chipped and it needs to be in a certain position in the grip.
Any more problems and i will revert to the single Nikon battery in the grip as i only use it for more of a hand hold not extra shots.
