There's no forum for this kind of shots it seems or at least none I can find so I decided to post it here.

Composite, composition, same to me. ;)

And another. Amusing how trying to capture splash leads to something completely different.

I'll have to do some better when I got more light. The LED didn't cut it to get to 100 ISO and up the DOF.

There are some interesting articles on how to trigger the camera for taking falling water drops, you can try those techniques.

I read some yeah. I was experimenting with it trying to see what was needed to get nice shapes. I first intended to use those in a more abstract manner but while goofing around with lens distortion noticed I could as easily go into a more surreal direction. I can level this tripod which makes it pretty easy to afterwards mash such images.

But I need more light. And a light meter.

If you use Digicam then you can set up a trigger and burst to capture the fall through the liquid. If you have a bright lamp, say a 100W bulb or equivalent LED then you should have enough light.

Digicam would make things too easy. ;) I need more light indeed, I now used a LED with some 300lm which is some 30W I guess. It's not enough but it's better light than the normal bulbs or spotlights I could use. It's going to be a balancing act since too bright might lead to very undesirable results.

Maybe if I lower the shutter some, I can recover some more light too. Luckily the fun is also in the experimenting.
