Trying to get wireless flash setup to work

Looking for some help here- just got a wireless flash setup [flashpoint from adorama] and for some reason I can't get it working with my Rokinon 8mm. I get a message that pops up on my d3200 that says "flash is in ttl mode. Please choose another setting or use a CPU lens." I've gone through and tried to change the setting on the camera menu to make sure it's not in ttl mode, but still get the same message. It works fine with my cheap 50mm nikon lens. I've read I can get my lens converted to a CPU lens, howeverI'd rather just use everything in a manual mode. Any ideas?

You have the on-board flash set to rear-curtain sync, which is sort of a strange mode. Change that mode to "Fill Flash" to make sure it will trigger, then see if that works. To do that, hit your Information button "I", then hit it again to put the cursor inside the Information screen, then scroll the cursor to the flash symbol and hit the OK button. It should give you choices to toggle through. (Or hold down the flash button on the front that pops up the on-board flash and it should give you the same choices with the command wheel.)

You can also go into your shooting menu and select Flash Control --> Manual (instead of ttl). (Menu -> Shooting Menu -> Flash Control -> set Manual).

Try both of those.
