Help Please: HDMI to TV but no Live view

Hello: I'm new to the D3200. I'm wanting to use its video capabilities to record guitar lessons and use the HDMI out to my TV to monitor what I'm recording. However, there is no live view with this camera when either an HDMI or USB cable is hooked up to it. I was on the phone with Nikon today, but didn't get a warm-fuzzy this gal knew much. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

Well: I found the answer to my own question. I've seen where lots of folks had this issue so I'll post the answer below:

[FONT=&quot]In order to view live view via HDMI cable on your television or any other external monitor all you have to do is go into the menu on the camera and locate the HDMI section. In that section you have HDMI output quality and HDMI controls. simply turn off HDMI controls. and exit the menu.[/FONT]
