Please help this Newbie - D3200 Internal Memory

Hi there,

Can anyone help me? I've just started with my D3200 (I am a complete novice) and the SD card won't arrive for a few days.

Can I take photos and get started with internal memory?

Is there any?

And if so, how do I use it?

On the d3200, there should be a menu item under settings to allow you to release the shutter and see an image on the lcd. Slot Empty Release Lock. It's a demo mode. It won't save, but you can practice and get familiar with the camera. If you do this, be sure to put the setting back to locked when you get your card because sooner or later you will forget your card and ruin your day.

You can go to Wal Mart and pick up an SD card to use while you're waiting on your SD card to arrive. I don't know if I could stand having a new camera and not being able to use it because I don't have a card.
