D3200 Metering Malfunction and Flash

Hey,

My D3200 has a metering malfunction and I don't mind because I take all of my photos in manual mode anyway - which still functions, but now I'm curious about a flash. Will I be able to purchase a Speedlight and still use that in manual mode with this error?

Dunno what the problem is, but flash metering is somewhat similar, but has its own stuff.

If you are able to use your built-in internal flash metered in TTL mode, then an external speedlight should be metered too.

The TTL flash is still automatic metered flash even in camera Manual mode.
