THEN I recompose....re half press...BEEP...SMILE! Full press...NOTHING!! ***^%&^%*!!! REDO, BEEP! CLICK! FINALLY! But it only happens now and then. Can't tell if it's the buffer being full, flash recharging, or what. VERY frustrating! Also, can't figure out how to reset every setting to default with one button? I want to say I love the camera, but at this time it is love - hate.

Any input would be appreciated!

Resetting to factory defaults is usually a two-button process.

As for recomposing, why are you forcing the camera to refocus?

If the buffer is full, you should see an "r0" in the VF.

The camera should fire regardless of flash recharging.

I'm going to ask what you may think is a silly question, but.....it must be asked; did you read the manual your camera came with? I'll bet the answer you're looking for is in there. :)

Usually when you have press then press, and nothing happens, it's either not in focus, or there's not enough light available.

Sometimes (not always), if there's a low battery situation, no click. :)

OK perhaps it is a focus issue as I am constantly pulling in and out and take my pictures quickly...and I now can see the r0...I thought it was elsewhere in the VF. Oh, I have 3200 for Dummies and two other books on the camera...and yes, I have the manual. I am reading all of them at once LOL!!!

I'll try to slow down the pictures I guess?

Most likely you don't have a focus lock and the settings on your camera are such that the camera will not fire until it *has* obtained a focus lock. You can turn off this particular feature but be prepared for out of focus shots if you don't verify focus lock in the viewfinder.

The D3200 does not have a one button, or two-button, reset. You go into your Shooting Menu and select "Reset Shooting Menu". Then you go into your Setup Menu and select, "Reset Setup Options". That's how you restore your D3200 to factory settings.

Seems to be a focus lock issue. When you half press it is focus, after moving the focus goes. Check if your AF is set to continuous focus - AF-C, is so then it will not fire till focus is acquired. If you want to focus and recompose, use AF-S. The camera will also not fire if the object is nearer than the minimum focusing distance.

r0 means that your buffer is full and the camera is presently writing to the card.
I suspect that you are using the high speed continuous shooting mode and you are shooting the camera like a machine gun. Unfortunately, the buffer fills faster than the card can be written to.

You have a choice of either slowing down your shooting habits or getting a better faster quality card for the camera.

This is all I can think off with the supplied infos. I hope it helps.
