i don't know the lens, but a quick google tells me there are two versions, the older version does not have an internal focus motor. If you want it to autofocus on your camera, look for one that says it has the motor or look closely into Sigma model # when you shop. This one has the motor. I came across this Wikipedia page that lists all Nikon F-mount (APS-C and full-frame) lenses with integrated focus motors. Includes Nikon, Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Kenko.

Check out the lens nomenclature to determine the designations for lenses designed for APS-C sensors from the different manufacturers.

Yes, that lens is compatible and will auto-focus on your D3200.

I don't think so. (but I don't know the lens for sure)

VR- Vibration Reduction is not just from Nikon though. Tamron calls it VC and Sigma calls it OS.

So look for those designations in lens description.

I cannot see why it wouldn't - but you could ask in the shop to be certain. A quick google search suggests it is. There was a review of this lens in this month's 'Practical Photography' that gave the lens 4/5 (same rating they gave the Nikon DX 55-300). It mentioned the autofocus (but warned it was quite noisy).
