Re: compatible lense for nikon d3200

i don't know the lens, but a quick google tells me there are two versions, the older version does not have an internal focus motor. If you want it to autofocus on your camera, look for one that says it has the motor or look closely into Sigma model # when you shop. This one has the motor. thank you very much for the info. in fact I need one with autofocus. I am quite new to using slr cameras and wud really appreciate help from experts

Re: compatible lense for nikon d3200

thanks a lot for your advice. is this lense has VR feature or on NIKON original lense will have that feature

I don't think so. (but I don't know the lens for sure)

VR- Vibration Reduction is not just from Nikon though. Tamron calls it VC and Sigma calls it OS.

So look for those designations in lens description.

I cannot see why it wouldn't - but you could ask in the shop to be certain. A quick google search suggests it is. There was a review of this lens in this month's 'Practical Photography' that gave the lens 4/5 (same rating they gave the Nikon DX 55-300). It mentioned the autofocus (but warned it was quite noisy).

If you are looking for a DX format telephoto lens with Vibration Reduction it might be worth checking out the Nikon AF-S DX 55-300mm ED VR. I own this lens and use it with a D3100 and it performs quite well. I'm not sure on what the prices are like compared to Sigma lenses as i'm from Australia where everything is heavily inflated in price.
