D3100 flash trigger voltage

Hello everyone,
I'm feeling like a newbie here when posting this,though i come here often to look for helpful tips and hacks for nikons. This time i haven't found the answer which i am looking for . Could you,nikonites members, please help me? Maybe do you know what flash trigger voltage on a d3100 is? Thank you for the answers

I believe the newer cameras are in the 6 volt range some of the older flashes require 200-400 volts and will burn out your camera flash circuit. If in doubt I suggest investing in a flash sync like this.
