I am planning on trying my hand at the fireworks tomorrow night and wanted to get ideals of settings to use I was thinking iso 200 shutter speed 3 sec at f9. Does this sound about right? of course on tripod with shutter remote focus will be figured when I get there to since I have to add in how far or close I am

Bulb click the remote when you hear it go off ad click again when its fullest or leave it open for a few burst inbetween

Here is my recipe for shooting fireworks on a crop sensor.

Tripod - If you have fireworks that are spread wide then shoot landscape. If they are fairly contained then shoot portrait. If you just don't know what they will do then shoot landscape and a bit wide until you figure it out. You can always crop down.

ISO 100
f/20
Shutter speed 25 seconds
My focal length was 35mm, but will vary by how close or far you are to the fireworks.

Here is a picture with that recipe. Would love to have had a lit city as a background, but that's not where they light them off due to fire concerns. Hope this helps.
