I photograph landscapes and animal related sports - like dog Agility and horse racing. (Mostly horses.) I'm definitely more serious about the horses, so if the camera/lens works for the horses I'll make it work for everything else.
So the Canon Rebel XS comes with a 18-55mm EF-S IS and 75-300mm EF III lens for $770
and the Nikon D3000 comes with a 18-55mm and 55-200mm VR lens for $650 (normally $800). I don't think I'll be able to get the Nikon before the sale ends so it would most likely be for $800.
Which would be better for action/sports shots?
