Perhaps an Eye-Fi card? That, or spend 1k on the Nikon transmitter - WT-4A. I don't do wifi with my camera, so i could not tell you anymore.

Get the camera kit from Apple. Plug your CF card in like you would to a PC and import whichever pics you want. It works great.

If cant watch it, the Terry White video demonstrates using the USB connector from the Apple camera connect kit, and a Belkin card reader ... Into which he plugs a CF card

While researching the wu-1a I ran across a new company selling hardware to hook either a cannon or a nikon to any IOS device. I bought one and it works great! I am no professional but I was really impressed with what it allows me to do. It works great on my D7000 and I am prettier sure I saw D300 on it's compatibility list. Just do a search for camranger.

By the way this is my first post, I am really looking forward to browsing around and learning as much as I can from everyone. My wife Recently purchased me a D7000, SB-700 speed flash, 70-300mm zoom and of course the 18-105mm lens, I have the 50mm f1.8 coming but on back order. With the edition of the Camranger wifi set up now I am looking for a good tri-pod that will let me get low as well a decent height.

Sorry about that I should have checked! Keep an eye on it or check out their Facebook page and ask when and if they are going to add D300 support.

Here is the response I received when I ask how long until the D300 is supported

" We hope to have D300s supported relatively soon. The D300 is a little lower on the priority list but we do want to support as many cameras as possible."

I will tell you when they support your camera it will do what you are looking for.

I used to use an eye fi card in a cf card adapter - I have the eye fi app on my iPad - this worked well when I was in the studio or at home with wifi connection - for location shoots - I took along my own router - worked a treat !

The d300 is now supported byCamranger. It is not the cheapest route but it works VERY well. No I do not work for them in anyway I have just been amazed at how well it works.

I have been looking into the CamRanger too .. it really does look the part for ANY and ALL photo / iPad Geeks. Works on Android too ... without needing to buy extar equipment - just a free APP download. expensive at the moment- but Im seriously considering it.
