FB users - need some advice

Is it possible to completely delete all old posts, tags, anything & everything else (other than contacts) that's associated with your FB account?
I have a really old FB account that i used to use 3-4 years back.
Now i want to use the FB account only for my Photography by opening a 'page'
I don't want to deactivate and open a new account cos all the data still remains in the old account.
would like to know if there is any way other than manually deleting each post/pic/etc.

Possible?

I don't think so, you can remove the post one at a time I believe. I think the fan page would be a better option and just ask all of your friends to like that

If you set up a photography page on FB that is outside your normal FB page, it will allow you to invite everyone on your friends list. You can also have FB use your email addresses to give you the ability to invite non-FB friends to your page, too. Not something I would be interested in doing but if a person were very serious about marketing themselves this would be one way to do it.

You have a photo page or have been seeing someone else's page?

Technically, nothing can ever be "deleted" from Facebook, only hidden - it's something they're rather clear about. So while you can remove it from view, Facebook retains the data and whatever rights they have to share it. To paraphrase, "What happens on Facebook, stays with Facebook".

I would strongly consider starting fresh, either as a business page or with a new email address.

Nope. You would have to delete each one individually.

You need a personal page before you can create a fan/business page, so deleting your account probably isn't the best option. You COULD delete it, and wait out the grace period (which I think is 14 days) which allows you to permanently delete a personal account, and then create a new one.

I would make a page, this way everyone can hit like on your page, but you dont see their personal stuff (your not friends with them). And you dont get 10 million games invites ;)

Exactly.. Even if I deactivate the account, I can delete it after 30 days.. But that would mean the account is deleted and all the data still remains with fb!
Anyhow that really doesn't matter cos I don't have much stuff on there neither is it Scandalous or anything :) just that it was created during my college days.. So i don't want to lose the contacts but would like to get rid of the content..

Anyhow I've found a couple of scripts and also an android app that can be run on a pc to help in deleting everything and clearing time lines.. Will have to try at home as its all blocked here.. Hope it works

Perfect reason to have a page instead of a profile! Granted, I have both, but I'm picky with who I friend on the profile, and I want EVERYONE to like my page. :)

Unfortunately they don't allow having a page without having a personal profile :-(

BUT, you don't have to have any friends or activity on the profile. ;). It can be set to go inactive when you're offline, and still be used to run the page.

Yes, just inactivate your private page or leave it as it is, and create a page for your photography :)
