    Calibrating a Plasma TV

The computer I use to edit images has my 42" Panasonic TV as a second monitor. The TV is great for landscapes, waterfalls etc. It gives me a close approximation of what the image will look like when printed out and framed.

What would be the best way to calibrate the color on the plasma TV to match the computer monitor?
FWIW, the color looks fabulous. But is different than the LCD monitor on the laptop. I think both monitors should look the same. Or as close as I an get them.

    Computer and TV specs
    MSI PR600 laptop 15.4" LCD
    Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5550
    Windoze 7 Home
NVidia GForce 8600M GT display adapter
    2gb RAM
I can get more detailed data via Belarc if needed.
It's roughly four years old. It's a dedicated video computer. I have two laptops and it's the one with HDMI.
Right now I do post processing with Irfanview. I have no other PP software.
It's not the fastest computer, but it might be the sturdiest.

Plasma TV is connected via HDMI
    TV is a 42" Panasonic VIERA® TU-P42U1 42-inch 1080p 600hz Plasma HDTV
Pansonic Product Support - TC-P42U1 - Technical Specifications

I almost forgot. Money is very tight right now. Freeware or open source software would be a very good thing.

    Thanks in advance
