Ugh. Mine updated automatically this morning causing my computer to be REALLY slow afterwards. I would up having to shut it off then booted it back up again. Will make sure to change my preferences so it doesn't update automatically.

Is this a new one in addition to the one they released last week with the updates to Lr for the pano warping? I've only installed last week's Lr update but not the CC stuff. I never turn on automatic updates for anything, and I especially won't do it for Adobe (I didn't do it for Acrobat even before I pitched that for FoxIt reader). This is disastrous. At least when Nikon screws the pooch they only render their stuff worthless.

THIS is the reason I curse Win 10. One day they will put out a bad update and anyone running Win 10 will be force fed the update.

Fortunately, with Adobe I can choose whether to download an update.

Thank you very much for the heads up on the update.

This is happening on Macs as well, if I'm reading the thread correctly.

BTW, I also keep my CC desktop app turned logged out by default. I get enough heads up from various forums and FB when there's a new version available.

Its an issue with the creative cloud software itself not the applications, so as long as you don't have automatic updates set you are ok.

I am not sure but I think it only affects Macs.

From what I've seen it is a Mac-only thing, and it's for the CC desktop app, not for Lightroom or Photoshop. God, these guys can screw up anything.

FYI, I just read that Adobe pulled the update. You can be damn sure I won't be activating the app again any time soon.

Call me lucky, I only find out about this after I updated... But haven't noticed anything wrong so far... I'll just keep praying.

I have Windows 7. My programs froze (Outlook and Chrome) so I had to use the Task Manager to close them. Then I shut down my computer and restarted it. Haven't noticed anything else since.

Its not about Macs it seems Adobe can't do an app update without creating some kind of issue.
They had major crashes on all platforms with the last Lightroom update and now this with creative cloud.
They are behaving like a bunch of amateurs. Whoever is in charge of Quality Control needs to be replaced.

I am seriously thinking of dumping both LR and PS going forward.

Yep, just saw this

Backblaze Service Notice

Backblaze has discovered that the latest update (version: 3.5.0.206 on February 11, 2016) of the Adobe Creative Cloud service can disable Backblaze backups on Mac computers. Adobe has recently pulled this update, but if you have applied this update and use Backblaze on the Mac platform you should read our blog post on this topic to learn more.

And this is exactly why I don't like software that forces updates down my throat, Alongside the point of limited data caps.
