Microsoft releases codecs to view RAW files in Windows Photo Gallery, Win Explorer

I tried the MS Codecs to see how it worked on my 64-bit Windows 7 system. One thing I didn't like was that it doesn't show the exposure info while viewing thumbnails. I went ahead and re-installed FastPictureViewer Codecs.

If you look at my screenshot below, you'll see the information I'm referring to on the bottom portion of the Windows Explorer window.

Nikon: D100, D1H, D200, D2H, D2Hs, D2X, D2Xs, D3, D3s, D300, D3000, D300s, D3X, D40, D40x, D50, D5000, D60, D70, D700, D70s, D80, D90, P6000

I noticed that the 3100 and 5100 were missing. So I downloaded it anyways and it works. I guess they just listed the first model of those two lines. So I am figuring it will work for the 5100 aswell.

Thanks for that link, with the new 32Gb CF card ordered I may be able to process RAW as quickly as JPEG so thankyou you great forums users for pointing this simpleton towards gold :)
